(Author Surname, Year Published)

Example

Most doctors now accept that ME/CFS/PVFS is a genuine and disabling illness. The World Health Organisation classifies ME as a disease of the central nervous system (reference: International Classification of Diseases 10, G93.3) and the Department of Health officially recognises it to be a ‘debilitating and distressing condition’ (reference: House of Commons debate, 13/11/91, Hansard col 582W). However, disagreements and uncertainties remain – especially over nomenclature, causation and the most appropriate forms of management. (Shepard, Chaudhuri, 2001)
