Using Honey Bees to test for the effects of feeding with HFCS:
HFCS seemed to have an effect on bee honey output only in bees fed HFCS. However, bees fed with sucrose syrups did not exhibit output alterations.
Bees permitted to fly freely also did not seem to produce honey of the same composition as bees fed with HFCS. (Ruiz-Matute et al. 2010)
